A KOMA ISO audit doesn’t run on a checklist of yes/no questions. The auditor walks the shop floor. They check the documentation and talk to people at the machines. Then they verify that what’s written in the procedures actually happens in production. Not on paper. On the floor.
On June 12, the auditor checked again. Result: ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 – certificates renewed. So that’s another year in a row where the result matches last year’s – no reservations.
What a KOMA ISO audit actually checks
ISO 9001 is a quality management system. ISO 14001 covers environmental management. Together, they form what we call our Integrated Management System. In practice, it comes down to one question: can we repeat, check, and improve what we do every day at our Słone facility – without guesswork?
The auditor doesn’t evaluate good intentions. They evaluate processes. For that reason, they walk into an active production area and compare the written procedure with what the operator actually does at the machine.
The certificate covers the entire company. That includes the hall where we make roofing torches and the hall where we manufacture equipment for the meat industry. Same system, same control standards, on both sides.
KOMA ISO audit – a result we’ve held for years
We closed another certification cycle without reservations. In other words, the system we have runs day to day – not only when someone’s watching.
What’s actually behind this result
It’s not a procedure that looks good in a binder. We constantly modernize our machinery. For example, we recently added a 3D printer for prototyping and a laser marking station for component identification. On top of that, every part that goes into the warehouse gets its own barcode card. That way, we always know what production stage a batch is at and where it came from.
For clients and partners, that translates into something very practical: predictability. You know when your order will arrive, because we track the entire material flow – from raw material to finished product.
Who’s behind it
This result is the outcome of work throughout the whole year. Our quality department keeps it running day to day: documentation, procedures, consistency across the whole system. However, the system only works if people on the floor actually use it – at the CNC stations, on assembly, in the warehouse – not just know about it.
Thanks to the entire KOMA team. You’re the reason this certificate isn’t a framed formality on the wall. Instead, it’s something that genuinely stands behind every torch that leaves our facility in Słone. Learn more about how we work on our about us page.
